Coagulation Profile B.V.

A crucial part of haemostasis, the coagulation process controls the formation of a fibrin clot, which, together with activation and aggregation of platelets, stops bleeding at the site of vascular injury.

Variations in the components of the coagulation system can result in either bleeding or thrombotic disorders.

An individual's overall thrombin generation potential or capacity to form a fibrin clot can be referred to as their coagulation profile.
